Here are some suggestions for preparing for the Regression Modeling Strategies short course. This also applies to the optional 1-day pre-course.

• Update to the latest Zoom client version
• Make sure you have a good internet connection and a quiet space to attend the course
• Test your audio and video (input and output) in advance to make sure they work so you will be audible when you need/want to be during the course
• Know how to access and use the Zoom in-meeting chat function
• Log in early each day—note time zone differences in advance; (7am PST, 10am EST, 4pm Europe, etc.)
• As a courtesy to other participants who are trying to concentrate, please remain on mute unless you are speaking and minimze background noise to the extent possible
• Questions related to the current discussion can be asked during the sessions in the Zoom in-meeting chat; or you can use the ‘raise your hand’ function in Zoom, and Drew or Frank will respond as quickly as possible; or by directing questions to the Google doc or to RMS Discussions at datamethod.org. Some questions and methdologic issues can also be directed to #rmscourse at Twitter. Live discussion is preferred. The Google doc is the next level of “live”.
• Active participation and good questions are welcome and encouraged. Please ask questions you feel may be of general interest for the audience and which advance the discussion of the topic. To allow Frank to progress through the agenda, more subject matter-specific questions might be best directed to RMS Discussions at datamethod.org, or #rmscourse at Twitter.
