Registration Tips

When registering at datamethods.org using your full name, the system asks a manager to approve you (the manager checks that you have provided your full name), then you are sent an email in which you must click a link to validate your email address. Many persons have had trouble receiving the validation email when using their company email and a few other email providers due to email filtering done by their provider. Emails from the datamethods system are sometimes quaranteened and do not even appear in your Junk mail folder. The easiest way to avoid this problem is to register through your Google account (especially if using the Chrome browser) or using a gmail address. Here is a procedure some have had success with, without a verification email. Try signing in first, when you got error signing in, click skip password (below user name) and try to sign in with the google account button on the right. I’m not sure if this procedure required an initial attempt at registering using a gmail address.
